Did you know National Public Health Week, (NPHW), is celebrated every April? NPHW promotes taking steps to wellness in yourself, your home and your community. Were you aware the health of your home can affect the health of your body as well? Take a moment and consider how your home’s HVAC or indoor air quality could improve. Have your ductwork cleaned and sealed. Swap out your air filter. Service your air conditioning system. Install a media air cleaner.
Service Your Air Conditioning System
Summer is around the corner and nothing spoils summer fun like a broken down air conditioner. If you haven’t already, call and schedule a tune up.
The simplest thing to do is invest in a service plan, such as Ray and Son’s Comfort Club. The membership includes two scheduled 17-point seasonal tune-ups and cleanings for your heating and cooling systems.
Additionally, Ray and Son offers a guaranteed energy ROI – if your energy savings in the 90 days following your tune-up are less than the value of the tune-up, we’ll write you a check for the difference!
Maintaining your mechanical systems offers the best efficiency, reduces wear and tear and catches small issues before they can become expensive breakdowns.
Change Your Air Filter
Confused if your air filter is disposable or can be cleaned? Call Ray and Son and ask us! Air filters trap allergens and debris before they can spread throughout your ductwork. Most filters need to be replaced or cleaned every 1-3 months. If you have pets or live in a high pollen area, it may be every month at a minimum.
Install a UV Air Purifier; Check your Carbon Monoxide Detector; Have Your Ductwork Cleaned & Sealed
As a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, we carry a variety of air purifiers and UV air purifiers. These products routinely reduce and eliminate airborne illnesses, mold and mildew spores and other pollutants.
In addition to your health, for your safety’s sake, make sure your carbon monoxide detector is working correctly.
Ray & Son’s duct cleaning service significantly reduces indoor air pollution. If your home uses a forced air system for your central heating and air conditioning, periodic ductwork, including duct cleaning and sealing and repair will keep your system in optimal shape. Duct cleaning should be done approximately every three to seven years, depending on the contaminants in your home.
If your home is new construction or you’ve recently completed a renovation, it’s a good idea to clean the ducts of all the construction dust and debris.
Call Ray & Son at 229-518-9247 for a preventative maintenance appointment, to sign up for the Comfort Club or for an estimate on a new unit if yours is inefficient or constantly requiring repairs. HVAC efficiency has come a long way in the last ten years. You may be amazed at the difference in utility usage. Concerned about the initial expense? Don’t worry, we offer multiple financing options.
Our NATE-certified and fully insured technicians are happy to explain every step of his or her process and answer all of your questions. We want you to feel comfortable with your heating and cooling system, as well as comfortable in your home!
